Seated Lincoln by Adolph A. Weinman

If you visit the Lincoln birthplace, you can see the original of this figure in nearby Hodgenville, Kentucky. Abraham Lincoln's son Robert attended the dedication in 1909, the centennial of Lincoln's birth.

The figure, symbolic of the presidency, was so admired at the time that a full-size replica was produced for the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
