Lincoln, Illinois

Postville Courtroom

In 1929 Henry Ford acquired the original Postville courthouse and reassembled it at his Deerfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan. This site, then, offers a replica of the original building. The town of Lincoln, founded in 1853, succeeded Postville and is the only town named for Abraham Lincoln before he became president. You can reach the site on 914 5th Street via the I-55 business route to Lincoln.
