Weinman Statue in Hodgenville, Kentucky

If you're driving through Hodgenville on the way to Lincoln's birthplace, pause to see this Lincoln statue in the town center on U.S. 31E. German-born Adolph Alexander Weinman created the seated bronze figure as well as the statue of Lincoln in the Kentucky State Capitol at Frankfort.

The six-foot-high statue rests on a 12-foot pedestal. Many contributors financed it, including President Lincoln's only surviving son Robert. A replica of it stands on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison.
