Books about Lincoln's Legal Career

An Honest Calling: The Law Practice of Abraham Lincoln

Lincoln's nearly 25-year legal career has been the subject of intense research since the inception of the highly regarded Lincoln Legal Papers project. Author Mark E. Steiner, a law professor and former Legal Papers scholar, has distilled the essence of that practice into this useful, up-to-date survey, published by Northern Illinois University Press in 2006.
