Weinman Statue in Hodgenville, Kentucky

If you're driving through Hodgenville on the way to Lincoln's birthplace, pause to see this Lincoln statue in the town center on U.S. 31E. Adolph Alexander Weinman created the seated bronze figure as well as the statue of Lincoln in the Kentucky State Capitol at Frankfort.

The six-foot-high statue rests on a 12-foot pedestal. Many contributors financed it, including President Lincoln's only surviving son Robert. A replica of it stands on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison.
