Lincoln the Lawyer by Lorado Taft

You can see the full-sized version of this well-known statue in Urbana, Illinois, a town where Lincoln practiced law on the circuit in the years before his presidency.

During the dedication of the original work, Dr. William E. Barton said, "This statue shows Abraham Lincoln as Urbana saw him, in the days when he stood at the bar of justice in the court house yonder, or spoke at political meetings in the court house square."
